- Ladies (Mary, Shoshana, Mia-Maria), we have make-up and/or hair appointments at the day spa at Mary's Lake Lodge in Estes Park scheduled from 8-12 Saturday morning. It takes about 20 minutes to reach the spa from Wild Basin Lodge, so if you are driving separately, please plan accordingly! Otherwise we will leave Wild Basin at 7:35 am.
- The groom, Host Couple, and fathers of the bride/groom will be in charge of decorating in time for the ceremony on Saturday, which needs to be completed by 2:00 pm. The following is a list of items that need to be decorated or attended to:
- Tables need to be decorated with leaf candles in glassware filled with sand, pine cones, fresh-cut pine boughs, and fake fall leaves
- Place favor bags on tables
- Place kids' bags on one table
- Decorate arch for ceremony with swag and leaf garlands
- Decorate guest "book" table and cake table with garland, leaf candles in glassware, fake leaves, pine cones, etc.
- Place sign-in sheet for guests and rocks on guest book table
- Place horseshoe to be decorated by guests near guest book table, along with things to decorate it with (flowers, leaves, ribbons, etc.)
- Find and prepare location for horseshoe -- during ceremony the tines of the horseshoe should be pointing towards the couple. The horseshoe will then need to be moved to a location in the reception hall and positioned with the tines pointing towards the room to continue "capturing" the cheer and festivities.
- Lunch for anyone already at Wild Basin Lodge will be available in the cabin (just down the road from the lodge on the left). There will be lunch meats and cheese for sandwiches, chips, and fruit. Just stop by any time to get something to eat. If no one is there, help yourself -- the food will be in the fridge!
- Ladies - we have a changing room for us to get ready in. It is located in Wild Basin Lodge. Please be dressed and ready to get your flowers by 2:45 pm.
- Men - you can get dressed in the cabin, or the bridal suite (in Wild Basin Lodge) will also be available for your use. Please be dressed and ready to get your boutonnières by 2:45 pm.
- Everyone participating in the wedding will receive a corsage or boutonnière, so make sure you find the Host Couple to get your flowers!
- Pictures will begin at 3:00 pm. Since the wedding party is small, we should have plenty of time, but please be ready to go (with flowers) at 3:00! Pictures will be taken in a variety of places, including outdoors (assuming it isn't pouring rain). The Host Couple will help to direct everyone as to where to be during pictures.
- Prelude music should begin by ~3:45 pm. At this time the Host Couple should be located at the front entrance to the lodge near the guest book table to direct guests. Details will be worked out during the rehearsal.
- The Host Couple will help to direct guests to the ceremony location (amphitheater or in front of the fireplace if the ceremony is indoors). and escort guests as needed to seats and pass out programs.
- The ceremony begins at 4:00 pm with the seating of the parents (details to be worked out during the rehearsal).
- Following the ceremony, the Host Couple should help to direct everyone to the lodge where the reception will be held for the cocktail hour. In addition, please do the following:
- Move the horseshoe to it's new location at the reception
- Collect the containers for the sand ceremony and move them to the bridal suite for safe keeping
- If there are cards (or if there happen to be gifts), please move them to the bridal suite upstairs
- Wedding Party - we plan to do a few sunset shots following the ceremony, so please stay close so we can do those quickly!
